Description
Williamsburg, one of Brooklyn's most popular and exciting neighborhoods as there is much to do and see. From indie boutique to live music and eclectic eateries, this is the place to be for excitement!

There is an interesting mix of cultures and building structures, which vary from older commercial buildings to simple attached homes. On the though punctuated by increasing numbers of expensive waterfront high rises. The North Side is a little pricier but in recent certain properties south of Grand Street have also skyrocketed.

However, this should not discourage people from stopping by for a good time. A number of restaurants range from fine cuisine to simple comfort foods that come from a truck. Williamsburg is something of a foodie town and there are many places to find good spirits, cheeses, meats, and produce.

If a person is in the mood to be entertained while they eat, the Brooklyn Bowl is half bowling
alley and half concert venue. Blue Ribbon is one of leading names in restaurants as they provide award-winning cuisine. It is highly recommended for anyone looking to see the concert buy tickets ahead of time as they sometimes sell out quickly. Anyone looking for a traditional bowling alley will find it at The Gutter.

There are some frugal activities to take part in when visiting Williamsburg. There are parks that offer free outdoor movies during the summer months. Some people are entertained simply by walking around to check out the parks, local art galleries and more.

There are three subway lines that serve
Williamsburg, the BMT Canarsie Line on the north, the BMT Jamaica Line on the south, and the IND Crosstown Line on the east. It is also served by the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. There are also several bus lines.

North Williamsburg is served by the East River, which offers rush hour service. The fare is $4.00 with a $1.00 bicycle surcharge.
