Description
Gramercy Park is one of NYC's most expensive neighborhoods to live, eat and be entertained in. Its exclusiveness lends it the feel of a small village enclave located within the heart of the city, which for many is very desirable. The neighborhood is built around a relatively small private park that requires a key for access. This feeling of exclusivity and privacy is why many upper class individuals choose to call Gramercy Park home. Many of the residents work right within the immediate area, too. Prospective residents will find a number of elaborate brownstones lining the beautifully manicured narrow streets. They will also find that there is a thriving, vibrant nightlife scene to explore including several world-class restaurants that offer live music and the ever-present upscale versions of late night and after hours bars and pubs. Strictly speaking, Gramercy Park isn't all residential anymore, as it was in the past.

The architecture in Gramercy Park is another of the draws that brings people into the neighborhood to visit and to live. Large and elaborate Victorian brownstones give the area the ambiance of Paris or London while at the same time offering beautifully rendered oversized apartments that grant residents much more living space than in other comparable residential buildings in the city. Couple that with the parks in the area and it’s no wonder why people flock to the neighborhood as soon as a vacancy becomes available.

Gramercy Park's relative central location is also something that attracts potential residents to the neighborhood. Many of the residences are easily within walking distance to midtown offices, Chinatown, the spectacular shopping emporiums of SoHo and NoHo, not to mention all of the nightlife in the West and East Villages. To make things even better, if you want to go further afield than just on foot, there are no less than five subway lines within walking distance which makes for easy access to the rest of NYC.
