Brooklyn Heights is known for its incredible views of Lower Manhattan, which include the Financial District. There is also the Brooklyn Heights Promenade also offers nice views of the East River, the Statue of Liberty, and most of the New York Harbor. While Brooklyn Heights is considered the most expensive neighborhood in the outer boroughs, the real estate prices are a good deal. Tree-lined streets complement the attractive brownstones and the neighborhoods are safe and clean as well as culturally diverse.

For those with refined taste who like decorate, there's Design Within Reach for furnishings and high-end home goods. Heights Books is the place to find rare and used books in a sophisticated setting. For fans of anime and classic comics, Mark's Comics is nearby.

Brooklyn Heights has many fine restaurants that will satisfy just about any palette.
